The Diplomatic Contact Group is a voluntary organisation whose purpose is to help diplomatic families who have
recently arrived to settle into life in Canberra by providing some additional information about the city and offering
personal support and friendship. The Diplomatic Contact Group is provided with details of new diplomatic arrivals
by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and contacts these people shortly after their arrival.
